I want to share regarding knowing our Father, our position in this season. Although to some it may be full of uncertainty but to the son we serve a certain God, who is always faithful, our mind must stay on him, our source.
I want to urge us to be in the mindset of not being just hearers of the word but doers of the word. We must not allow the carnal mind to disregard what the spirit of the Lord is saying. For example, the Holy Spirit brings to light a situation that needs to be addressed in your life and requires your obedience to him, but the carnal nature comes along and says that's impossible so we begin to reason and say we really can't do what the spirit is saying.
My brethren, we must operate in total obedience to the Father, even though circumstances may look grim our Father wants us to live in the Liberty and Joy that he has provided through the son. And do not think that this is not possible. We were not called to live a life burdened down by the cares of this world or being dictated by fleshly desires. Hence he said, " *take no thought of tomorrow* ". Especially in this lockdown period, the enemy may want to weary us down, with lack, financial problems, and many other situations but we must believe that our Father will and has already made provision for us.
We must *GIVE UP CONTROL* and reach the point where we surrender ourselves to the Father, that through the son we may *KNOW HIM.* In this season where most of us are at home, let us turn ourselves, look inward and experience an in-depth relationship with divinity as never before.
Can we of ourselves know the Father? No one has ever seen God; but the only and unique Son, who is identical with God and is at the Father’s side — he has made him known. Yochanan (John) 1:18 CJB The son paved the way for us, he brought forth the revelation of *Fatherhood* where we can now have an intimate relationship with God as our Father. In this spirit of reconciliation our hearts cry out *ABBA* as we have been reconnected as one with him; however, it is only through receiving the son can we know the Father. To *know* the Father we must *receive* the son. But to as many, as did receive him, to those who put their trust in his person and power, he gave the right to become children of God, not because of bloodline, physical impulse, or human intention, but because of God. Yochanan (John) 1:12 - 13CJB
This inheritance we have in the son does not just come by mere words which we have been taught, by mouthing the sinners prayer but *there is a depth in the receiving.* There is a death that takes place to the old nature, when we receive it means we suffer with, we experience, we undergo a transformation that brings us into the image and likeness of the son.
Let's continue! First, we saw that the son made the Father known. Now we will that the Spirit is dealing with the "inward" For who knows the inner workings of a person except the person’s own spirit inside him? So too no one knows the inner workings of God except God’s Spirit. Now we have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit of God so that we might understand the things God has so freely given us. 1 Corinthians (1 Co) 2:11-12 CJB
Think about it, you know yourself, that inner being, we may fool people who cannot see but we know the darkness that has been in our thoughts in times past that when you think back of how you use to be you can only say but God. In contrast, we see another side of the scripture and this is the beauty of it, *we have received this Spirit the Spirit of God.* (This should be an encouragement to us to not take this relationship lightly)
We too can know God, the depths of him nut we must give ourselves to his spirit for he gave us of himself. Please don't put on any limitations. Do not be afraid of God, that is religion, which keeps man afar off.
Accept the things that have freely been given to us. For it can only be taught by the spirit, whereby there is no human input whatsoever. It is not something of self, our brother is showing us total obedience and dependence on the spirit of God. These are the things we are talking about when we avoid the manner of speaking that human wisdom would dictate and instead use a manner of speaking taught by the Spirit, by which we explain things of the Spirit to people who have the Spirit. 1 Corinthians (1 Co) 2:13 CJB
He gave us his spirit because only his spirit can understand him. Anytime we try to figure out God from the carnal nature we are doing it from the outside, from head knowledge, and in our own strength. Now the natural man does not receive the things from the Spirit of God — to him they are nonsense! Moreover, he is unable to grasp them, because they are evaluated through the Spirit. But the person who has the Spirit can evaluate everything, while no one is in a position to evaluate him. 1 Corinthians (1 Co) 2:14-15 CJB
You must have that Spirit, if we all receive the same Spirit therefore we walk together as one in unity and God is our Father. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV Let me bring to your attention again the word receive in the context of the above scripture regarding the mind of Christ. The word receive is meant to assimilate through the mind. In addition assimilate meant to be taken in or absorbed, to make similar.
Therefore through receiving the son our carnal mind, our way of thinking is no more in effect and the mind of Christ, the anointed one has now absorbed and taken us in, into him so that we are made similar. This mind in us now dominates, therefore no decision, no direction, no movement is made in ourselves nor our own strength, but under the direct mandate of the Father. The mind of Christ takes no thought of tomorrow, is anxious for nothing, is so sure of his Father's provision and will that he deny's himself and takes up his cross daily. The mind of Christ submits to the will of the Father in all circumstances, Nevertheless, not my will but thy will be done. The mind of Christ lives in the liberty of the Father, obeying his every command.
In closing, there is so much that takes place when we receive. * We are reconciled to the Father * There is a transformation. Old things are passed away, behold all things are made new. *He makes the Father known *We have an intimate relationship with our Father. *We receive the mind of Christ.
Be blessed!
